About the model & keyboard controls
The cart moves along one straight track. Its centre marks its position; the drawing is schematic. Each interval has constant acceleration. Position and velocity stay continuous when acceleration changes. Total distance includes travel in both directions. The clock stops at the journey’s endpoint; the final readings describe that endpoint, not an extra braking event.
At an interval boundary, acceleration shows the value for the next interval; at the final endpoint, it shows the last interval’s value. Velocity–time gradients are calculated only within one straight segment. Graph scales stay fixed during each journey and share the same time range. Playback does not change the physics. No forces are modelled.
Use Tab to move between controls, Enter or Space to activate buttons, and arrow keys on sliders. The timeline is also available to touch. Camera rotation is optional; the default view is sufficient. Reset restores the clock and camera. If 3D is unavailable, the readings and graphs still work. Student answers are not saved.
